Role Overview:
The Operations and Discovery Specialist will play a key role in strengthening our operational and reservation systems, with a focus on improving communication and elevating the company’s presence in the affinity marketplace. This position involves managing the entire product line life cycle at its release, ensuring seamless operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee product line life cycle post-release from the product development team.
• Continuously assess programs and recommend enhancements as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all program features.
• Maintain clear communications with group leaders and other departments (air, product, marketing).
• Monitor and manage inventory control for land, cruise, and air travel, ensuring adherence to deadlines and group product on values.
• Analyze and share research insights to enhance product knowledge.
•
Input reservations and monitor program performance, making adjustments to allotments as needed. • Strive to achieve 90%+ customer satisfaction on with ratings of “excellent” or “very good.” • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners. • Prepare and maintain departure utilization on reports and final documents on for group leaders and passengers.
• Execute operational and reservations on tasks to meet specifications, quality standards, and company objectives.
DOWNTOWN CHICAGO HIGH END LEISURE AGENT IN HOUSE
Leisure agent needed for VIP Virtuoso travel agency in downtown Chicago. The team is a compilation of years of experience and professionalism. In house to begin and possibility of hybrid after a period. The clientele is very high end and most trips are FIT’s. Sabre is a must. Knowledge of returns and refunds. Experience working with demanding upscale clients. Above average salary and 100% paid insurance. FAM’s included in the position.
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
• Minimum of 5 years selling leisure travel
• Experience selling cruises, tours, FITs and resort vacations
• Ability to offer consultative suggestions for clients, based on their specific needs
• Has experience booking flights (prefer Sabre experience, including ticketing).
• High level attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize in a constantly changing environment
• Positive attitude & Flexibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player – who is willing to assist other agents and clients as needed
• Excellent computer skills – we use MS Word, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, and a number of other programs
• Experience with Clientbase Plus is a plus

Qualifications:

Luxury Travel Knowledge: Deep knowledge and passion for luxury travel destinations, accommodations, experiences, and trends. Familiarity with top luxury travel brands, suppliers, and their offerings.
